Zed strengthens presence in Austria through new office in Vienna Klaus Müller appointed new Country Manager

Zed, the leading mobile content company worldwide in terms of revenue and geographical presence has strengthened its operations in Austria.

Dusseldorf / Vienna, 31st of August 2007 - Zed, the leading mobile content company worldwide in terms of revenue and geographical presence has strengthened its operations in Austria by the opening of a new office with a dedicated team for this market. On the 1st of September2007 Zed’s branch in Austria moved to its new office in the “Vienna Twin Tower”. The new office is responsible for Austria and Switzerland. Until now operations for both countries were being handled from the company’s offices in Düsseldorf, Germany.

With the opening of this new office, Zed now has offices in 21 of the world’s top capitals in the four continents; including London, Paris, Milan, Moscow, Miami, Mexico City, Denver, Singapore, Manila, Beijing or Cape Town. Zed’s headquarters are in Madrid.

Appointment of new Country Manager
Klaus Müller has taken on the position of Zed’s Country Manager for Austria and Switzerland and has ministered Zed’s roll out in both countries from the German head office. Klaus said “I’m excited with this task that Zed has consigned me. In the consumer sector we will mainly focus in offering not only our ample portfolio of product and services (over 100,000 items) marketed under the Club Zed but also introduce our Web 2.0 for PC and mobile platform in Austria and Switzerland.

“Furthermore we aim for close cooperative ties with the mobile telecommunications providers. The set-up period has nearly come to an end and with the moving into our new office in Vienna we will push our market presence even further”. Zed currently covers 90% of Austrian mobile subscribers through agreements with all leading MNO, including Mobilkom, T-Mobile Austria and One. The company expects to launch operations in Switzerland during the last quarter of 2007.

Talking about the appointment of Austria’s new country manager, Diego Conforti, Western Europe Regional Director of Zed said “we are delighted that Klaus Müller with such an extensive and valuable experience in the segments of telecommunications, multimedia and marketing has joined Zed. We feel that he is the right person to lead Zed’s objective to strongly grow in Austria and Switzerland”.

Prior to joining Zed, Klaus Müller worked for the mobile multimedia provider H3G Austria “3“, where he held the role of Head of the Customer Facing Unit and the Customer Relations Management. From 1999 to 2003 Müller worked in the Product Management and Marketing of T-Mobile Austria. Before that he held the position as Sales Manager from 1997 to 1999 at AVL LIST, an international leading company in the sector of engine development. Müller was born in Styria and has studied industrial engineering at the “Technische Universität Graz” and at the English University of Hertfordshire.
