REDWOOD CITY, Ca. - September 28, 2011 - Zed, a leading global player providing multiplatform marketing solutions and innovative value added content services, announced today the expansion of its U.S. operations, with the appointment of a new management team and new U.S. headquarters in Redwood City, Ca. Zed is establishing a presence in Silicon Valley to integrate closely with key technology innovators and be closer to its clients and partners.

John Foster has been named President of Zed USA, and charged with driving an aggressive expansion plan in the U.S. market. Prior to Zed, Foster served as SVP Corporate Development at Infospace, where he led the company’s successful turnaround. Foster was responsible for corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions activities, leading InfoSpace through a strategic transformation that resulted in the company becoming the largest North American mobile content provider as well as a leading player in online local search. Foster has extensive internet and telecom experience, with prior executive roles at RealNetworks and NextLink. Michalia Negri has been appointed Country Manager and COO of Zed USA after successfully heading Zed’s operations in the U.K., Ireland and China. Negri brings a wealth of experience acquired through an acclaimed international career in the mobile and media industries. She has served as an elected EU Board member of the Mobile Marketing Association in 2009 and was featured in the 2010 Mobile Entertainment list of the top female executives in the mobile content industry.

Zed USA powers mobile content platform services for U.S. Cellular and Tracfone Wireless, distributes mobile content through ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile and Cricket, and works with all leading music, TV and games providers including Universal Music Group, Sony Music, Warner Music Group, EMI, Univision and Glu.
ZED USA will continue to maintain offices in Miami and Los Angeles. In addition to housing a team of multiple high-level technology experts, Zed’s Miami office services Zed’s major Latin American clients. Los Angeles is home to the marketing team and provides proximity to entertainment industry partners.
