Madrid, June 28, 2006 - The Spanish company LaNetro Zed, one of the leading multinationals in the development, marketing and distribution of mobile content, with a presence in 15 countries, has attained a revenue figure of 42.9 million Euros in the first quarter of 2006, a 46% increase over the 29.4 million reported for the same period last year.
The company’s EBITDA has increased fourfold in the first quarter of the current fiscal year compared to the same period last year, from 3 million Euros to 12.7. Additionally, net profit has increased by 9.5 million Euros this year over same period last year, reaching 11.6 million Euros, almost six times the 2005 figure for the same period (see table below)
Therefore, the 2006 Q1 results continue the path of revenue growth from fiscal year 2005, and consolidate the trend of strong growth in EBITDA and profits that the company has achieved in the prior four quarters.
The company closed fiscal year 2005 with total revenue at 135.6 million Euros, an EBITDA of 23.4 million Euros and net profits of 13.2 million Euros according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Meanwhile, LaNetro Zed continues with its geographic expansion. At the beginning of the year, the company opened offices in South Africa, where it expects to launch operations in the future, thereby reaching a presence in 4 continents and 15 countries, each playing an important role in the mobile content market. The opening of this office also strengthens LaNetro Zed’s presence in some of world’s markets with the greatest growth potential.
